AS Roma could be acquired by Tom Barrack – report (translated)
Italian football club AS Roma could be acquired by US investor Tom Barrack, according to Italian newspaper TuttoSport.
The item, which cites rumours, noted that the current owner Dan Friedkin, who invested EUR 817m in AS Roma, was not satisfied with his investment and could opt to sell his club.
Another report in the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero said that Friedkin could also have Barrack and his fund Colony Capital as a financial partner. The item noted that Barrack sold football club PSG to Qatar Investment Authority.
The report also noted that AS Roma planned to build a new stadium and this could attract Barrack, who is focused on real estate investments.
