Jordan Lukaku will become a winger IMHO , he will have some kind of a Gareth Bale evolution , playing him at the back would be a waste . You are right about Daf , that was the guy I was talking about .
Another question that I forgot before : according to italian sources , Wasilewski has been offered to Lazio as we are looking for bench players who can play at the right back and/or the left back position . What kind of player is he and why did Anderlecht let him go ? (I don't think that's any truth in the news , but just in case...)
Thanks
Lots of people are saying that these days (even his brother Romelu...), but that would be a waste IMO. I'll tell you why. Lukaku is a modern, offensive back with plenty of pace, duel force and technique. He has good feet and always chooses for the combination. His big weakness (apart from his mentality) is his positioning, but that's something which can be improved over the years through experience. Up to now, he's used to take back attackers purely on pace, without needing to anticipate or defend in general (Anderlecht's youth teams usually dominate their opposers).
Typically, Lukaku receives the ball on the left back and then starts to make a rush forward, dribbling 2 or more players before crossing the ball into the box. That's the reason why he needs to stay on the back: because he needs the open space in front of him to make his 'typical' action. If you put him on the midfield, the available space is reduced significantly, whereby he loses a lot of his qualities. But yeah, that's the general mentality here in Belgium... if you have some talent to play football, you're automatically considered a midfielder (because the only task of a defender is to defend well, right?

).
About Wasyl, I'll be short: forget about him. He's a typical old-skool defender: physically strong in the duels, never hesitates to go into a tackle. However, he has little passing/crossing skills, not the man of the build-up. He got a new contract a few years ago because he recovered from a horrible tackle by Axel Witsel (check YouTube on your own risk), not because of his talent. Time to let him go, ASAP.
Hope this clears up a bit
