Non solo in Italia si vedono punizioni esemplari per chi si macchia di cori discriminatori con connotazioni razziste o territoriali. Anzi, se possibile in Inghilterra il pugno è ancora più duro. Durante il match contro il West Ham, infatti, un tifoso del Tottenham ha utilizzato una parola vietata per schernire i rivali: si tratta del vocabolo yid, abbbreviazione di yiddish, negli stadi, utilizzata per i cori a sfondo antisemita. Il Tottenham ha immediatamente messo a disposizione della polizia i filmati, che hanno inchiodato l'ingenuo tifoso che è stato così prontamente arrestato.

Forse, ma forse siamo anche arrivati al limite. Magari un daspo basterebbe.
Le telecamere ci sono, PERCHÈ cazzo non si agisce così?

The Spurs faithful chanted "We'll sing what we want" and "Yid Army" at the game against West Ham United at White Hart Lane in north London.

One Tottenham fan was arrested after the Metropolitan Police pledged they would be "on the look out" for football supporters who used the word and Chief Superintendent Mick Johnson, the match commander, insisted that "racism and offensive language have no place in football".

Officers spoke about the issue with fans on their way into the stadium.

The club has a strong Jewish following and its fans have been on the receiving end of anti-Semitic abuse from opposition supporters for many years.

In an act of defiance, some started using the word "Yid" in chants about their team.

"You have to be motivated by hate. Hate speech should be prosecuted - but only when it's motivated by hate."

The game ended in a 3-0 victory for West Ham.

Per me è assurdo che sia stato punito un tifoso del Tottenham per questa cosa.

quelli del napoli l'hanno fatto in realtà, anche se credo sia un caso isolato.

Il nodo principale cmq è questo: perchè non si usa la tecnologia? Perchè la Lazio deve continuare a pagare colpe non sue?

Il discorso è il medesimo della moviola in campo per valutare l'accaduto su azioni già interrotte dall'arbitro. Non si vuole usare la tecnologia. I motivi sceglieteli voi, io sono solo basito.

Non si tratta di insultarsi, sono loro stessi a definirsi "yid". Yid Army.
E' per questo che la decisione è assurda.
Questo accade quando le regole vengono seguite con ottusità.

In realtà a me sembra diverso. Da quello che si legge nell'articolo, letto molto al volo lo ammetto, i tifosi del tottenham si sarebbero definiti 'yid' come gesto di sfida nei confronti dei rivali del west ham che di rimando, in maniera provocatoria, li avrebbero apostrofati come razzisti (come se uno skinhead si mettessse a dare del razzista a Eddy Murphy perché in un suo spettacolo usa la parola "nigga").

Nel caso dei tifosi del Napoli, invece, mi sembra piuttosto una forma contorta di soliderietà tra ultras (per la serie "i nostri panni sporchi ce li laviamo tra noi ultras, il nemico comune siete voi istituizioni"). Io l'ho interpretata così: i due casi mi sembrano differenti.

Magari perchè se finiscono questi "finti orrori" (nel senso che spesso sono ingigantiti e strumentalizzati), poi la gente che si limita a leggere i titoli dei giornali smette di pagare sky/mediaset e torna allo stadio!

E chi paga tutto il carrozzone?

E comunque ci sono anche bei spunti per parlare di come vengono riportate le notizie in Italia...

Infatti, solo che chi ha preso il provvedimento non la pensava (se mai ha "pensato" nella sua vita...) allo stesso modo e si è messo ad utilizzare il manualetto delle parole proibite fornito dal FARE.

Se questo è l'andazzo, non se ne esce più.
